St. Thomas’ Roof
St Thomas Primary School, – Full re-roof to school.
NinePointEight Construction was appointed with the full re-roof of a primary school in Oldham.
The school had been experiencing ongoing issues with vandalism of the tiles and the subsequent leaking from the damaged areas.
It was proposed that the entire school would be re-roofed in a felt roofing system to provide a vandal proof finish and replace the ageing roof tiles.
NinePointEight construction provided advice on the best products to provide a system with a 15 year warranty whilst providing best value to the school.
During a summer holiday break the entire roof was removed and replaced with a twin ply and 3 membrane system with insulated panels over all existing flat roof area.
All old lead flashing was replaced with ubiflex lead free flashing and soffits fascia and gutters replaced throughout.
The school where delighted that we managed to carry out the entire project within the summer holidays and that the children was able to return at the start of term without any problems.
